TURKIC WORLD UAV COMPETITION

Unity in the Skies, Brotherhood in Technology

The Turkic World UAV Competition is a strategic international project hosted by Gebze Technical University (GTU) in collaboration with the Organization of Turkic States. This initiative serves as a concrete reflection of the multi-dimensional relationships developed in the fields of youth and technology.

On May 11, 2026, elite teams composed of 4 undergraduate students from Türkiye, Azerbaijan, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Hungary, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan will convene at the GTU campus to demonstrate engineering excellence. The Concept: Autonomous Mangala

The competition centers on a unique integration of the traditional Turkic strategy game, Mangala, with advanced aerospace software and autonomous systems.

The Mission: UAVs must perform high-precision autonomous maneuvers to move markers across a physical platform consisting of 12 pits and 2 treasuries.
Equal Opportunities: To ensure fairness, identical hardware and materials are provided to all undergraduate teams, making software and decision-making algorithms the true differentiators.
Strategic Scoring: Performance is evaluated through the 'Saka' scoring system, where valid autonomous drops along with the manual moves determine the victor.

Beyond the technical challenge, this event aims to foster a common technical and academic language among the youth of the Turkic World.
